Mondial Assistance UK Celebrates Another Sport Relief Success

Here at Mondial Assistance UK we opened our call centre for the sixth consecutive year to take donations for this year’s Sport Relief. Throughout the night our staff took pledges for over £40,000, contributing to the event’s record breaking £52million total.

Call centre volunteers came from all across the business, including the Executive Board who were involved in answering the phones and taking pledges. A little healthy competition kept spirits high, with competitions to see who could take the most calls and the highest donation of the evening. The highest single donation received was for £500 and one person took over £2500 in pledges.

Staff who took part were kept entertained throughout the evening by a caricaturist and treated to a relaxing neck and shoulder massage. They were also rewarded with goody bags full of food and treats donated by local and national businesses, including Crystal Palace Football Club who generously gave two tickets to an upcoming match to each volunteer.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our staff, local organisations and businesses who all wanted to help Sport Relief in any way they could. In particular, all the food and drink donated from local organisations such as Croydon College, Scrumpchinos, Costco Croydon and the Croydon Park Hotel really helped to keep all our energy levels up.

Overall it was a fantastic night and everybody worked so hard to take as many pledges as possible. It really makes all of the preparation that goes on beforehand worth it. The night would not have been as much of a success without the participation of everyone so we want to say a massive thank you to everybody and hope that they will continue their support in future events.
